What is Jewish Youth Library of Ottawa?
Chicken soup on Friday night. The light in a child’s eyes when he reads his first Hebrew word. A helping hand in times of need. Chabad is a home away from home for every Jew in Ottawa. We are dedicated to serving our community, through our popular Westboro Jewish Montessori Preschool, Camp Gan Izzy, Friendship Circle, Jewish Classes, Community wide Holiday programs and so much more - and now we’re asking for your support to help us build a bright Jewish future, together.

How does a Match Campaign work?
Running an organization like the Jewish Youth Library of Ottawa (JYL) requires a significant investment of time, energy, and resources. Dr. Joseph and Devora Caytak, along with their dedicated staff, work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind. However, the day-to-day expenses of operating a nonprofit organization can be substantial. Rather than charging membership fees or setting high event prices that could prevent some people from participating, we rely on the generosity of the community we serve. This year, generous donors have stepped forward to help the JYL and its associated programs thrive. They have committed to matching donations from our community, dollar for dollar, so that every contribution has twice the impact!
On November 29, our Building Together! campaign officially launches. Every donation you make will be matched by our generous donors, doubling your impact and helping us continue making a difference in the world today!
How can I help?
You can be a partner in everything we do to support the Jewish community in Ottawa by contributing to Building Together! and spreading the word.
